About

Ashlea Veterinary Centre is a small animal practice in Carlisle, established in 1994 by Chris and Kirsty Barker. It is now part of the VetPartners group and holds Cat Friendly Clinic accreditation.

The practice moved to a purpose-built facility on Port Road Business Park in 1998. It provides separate kennelling for dogs, cats and small furries, along with in-house diagnostic equipment. Ashlea has served as a veterinary nurse training centre for many years, with several former students returning to join the team after qualifying.

From the moment I arrived with my little dog...we were made welcome...she was treated as an individual patient not generic as i have found with my last practice....the care shown to her was second to none in the surgery...she's an old lady and was treated with the respect she deserves...
