By Invitation

Your practice has been selected for the National Pilot Programme.

If you've received our letter, your place is reserved — we've identified your practice as one already doing excellent work. The pilot gives you a free visibility audit, verified Google reviews from your existing customers, and a listing in our national directory. As the CMA introduces new transparency requirements for UK practices, the pilot also gives you a head start on what's coming.

CMA Readiness Check

The CMA Is Changing the Landscape.

The Competition and Markets Authority has published requirements that will become legally binding for every UK veterinary practice later this year. Standardised price lists. Ownership disclosure. Formal complaint processes. Written estimates. Data submission to the RCVS.

The same obligations apply across the sector. The work, for most practices, is in the formatting — producing the standardised price lists, building the web pages, documenting your complaint process to meet the minimum criteria, and preparing your data for RCVS submission.

That's why the pilot includes a CMA Readiness Check alongside your visibility audit. And it's why FetchRated membership includes CMA-compliant pricing pages, complaint process documentation, and ownership disclosure — generated from your data, hosted, and maintained for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is FetchRated?
We're an independent UK organisation building a national directory of verified pet care practices. We're not a marketing agency, not a software vendor, and we don't sell your data. Our goal is simple: help pet owners find quality care and help excellent practices get the recognition they deserve.
Why was my practice selected?
We analyse publicly available data—your Google reviews, online presence, and local reputation—to identify practices that are already doing good work. If you received our letter, it's because your practice stood out. This is recognition, not inspection.
Is it really free?
Yes. The pilot is completely free. There are no hidden fees, no contracts, and no obligation to continue afterwards. We're building a national picture of quality pet care, and your participation helps us do that.
How do you contact my clients?
We reach out to recent customers with a short, friendly message about their pet's visit. We ask how it went. If they had a good experience, we invite them to share it on Google. If they had concerns, we listen first and share that feedback with you privately. One message per customer, no spam, no sales pitch.
Will my clients mind being contacted?
In our experience, most clients appreciate being asked. The message is personalised to their pet by name and their recent visit. It takes less than a minute to respond. We've found that clients who had a good experience are happy to say so.
What happens after the pilot?
You receive your results—a personalised video walkthrough of your visibility score, your verified reviews, and how you compare locally. If you'd like to continue with ongoing review collection and membership, we'll extend an invitation. But there's no obligation. The reviews we collected during the pilot are yours to keep either way.
What data do you need from me?
To start the pilot we need your practice name, a contact name, and an email address. To collect verified reviews from your customers, we'll ask you to share recent customer visit information — typically a simple daily email forward from your booking system, or a weekly export. We don't need integration with your practice management system, and we don't keep any data we're not actively using.
What about the CMA requirements?
The Competition and Markets Authority has published requirements that every UK veterinary practice will need to meet — standardised pricing, ownership disclosure, complaint processes, and more. The pilot gives you a head start, and FetchRated membership includes CMA-compliant web pages that satisfy the requirements automatically. We've published a complete CMA guide for practices at /learn/cma-veterinary-report-guide.
Do I need to worry about CMA compliance now?
The CMA Order is expected in September 2026, with compliance deadlines starting 3–6 months after that. You don't need to panic, but starting early means less pressure later. The pilot collects much of the data you'll need for compliance, and membership generates your compliant pages automatically.
Will FetchRated help with CMA compliance?
Yes. FetchRated membership includes CMA-compliant pricing pages, complaint process documentation, and ownership disclosure — all hosted and maintained for you. A web agency would charge £3,000–£5,000 for a compliance redesign. It's included in your membership.
