Our gorgeous 10 year boy (cat) had issues peeing, that led to no eating or drinking and vomiting. He was meowing in pain. We didn't have insurance and called here for opening at 8am. The receptionist was pleasant and we got asked to bring him straight down. He was sedated (not able to be kept in as he was too aggressive and stressed) the vet and assistant vet were extremely helpful. The vet explained he had urinary blockage that can be fatal if left untreated, subsequently he was unblocked and sent home with morphine and some cystaid - I had already bought this on Amazon too. I was worried about the costs but well worth every penny (£262.00) . The vet was transparent and should this happen again he may need to be put to sleep. Our worst nightmare but I didn't want him in pain. The next day he was eating and lots of pee all over. Unfortunately he blocked again 3 days later (as vet informed us it could happen) and tonight we attended the Gosforth OOH. Our baby was put to sleep. Anyway, the service was great from the Hebburn branch and Gosforth.

I sadly had to have my beautiful best friend of 14 yrs put to rest, and all the staff at blythmans were so caring and empathetic and amazing. Thankyou so much for helping me say goodbye to my best friend 😢😢

I can’t thank all the staff enough for how compassionate and supportive they were. I recently brought my 17-year-old cat Dotty here, and you could truly tell they cared — which makes all the difference during such a sensitive time. I especially want to thank and acknowledge Alex for everything he did. His kindness and professionalism meant so much to me.
