We rushed our dog Mike in after been promoted to do so on the phone..as soon as we arrived at the vet Mike was rushed in and examined quickly, unfortunately the outcome was not what we expected and sadly Mike was to put sleep…the guy treating Mike was called Paul I think..he treated Mike with such love and care even after Mike had passed thank you team

More training needed in manners. When calling an out of hours emergency vet, you would expect compassion. However, yesterday morning the lady I spoke to on the phone was very disrespectful. If you've ever seen an animal struggling to breathe, you know they're struggling and not 'reverse sneezing' as was suggested to me. Originally she misheard me and thought I was talking about a dog, when the mistake was noticed and she understood I was talking about a pet duck, her response was 'A duck? I don't know what we'll do with 'it' but bring 'it' in.' I appreciate not all vets are experienced in waterfowl, but I would at least expect a response somewhere along the lines of; 'Ducks aren't something we usually treat, but we'll see what we can do/how we can help.' When strongly expressing that a pet is clearly struggling to breathe and will die without help, you expect kindness and compassion. She failed.

I'm giving two stars for the vet I saw who was lovely. But your receptionist who was on yesterday and saw me and my cat was rude and condescending. I have never been spoken to with such disrespect in my life. You don't know what people have gone through before they come to you so a bit of empathy while also bringing in a sick animal wouldn't go a miss. The only thing that mattered to the receptionist was money while threatening me with debt collectors. Even going so far as noticing cash in my wallet and saying you can pay your bill in full. Then adding we can't keep doing this as though I'd been there before. For the record I had never been to this vets before and will never, ever being going there again. If you want to keep your customers, you really should do something about your receptionist who was on New Year's Day. I don't know her name but if it's the one many people are mentioning, she needs reprimanding unless you're fine with the way she behaves. If you have options of another emergency vet, I would say go there and avoid this place.
