Carrot Tops were excellent when our cat got seriously ill. We noticed he hadn't been eating properly so asked for an appointment. They shuffled things around so that they could see him that day. On seeing him the vet immediately suggested we took him to Woods Hospital in Gloucester as he had serious anemia. We left, phoned the hospital, and were told to go back to carrot tops and get them to take the blood for testing. We returned but the vet was so concerned, she phoned Woods and got an appointment. Took him there, left him overnight, £1060 later, picked him up with no diagnosis other than more tests, more money and a very expensive treatment that might not work. Anyway, we took him home. Feed him with a syringe for a while until the results of another blood test came back. Took him back to Carrot Tops (again they moved things around to get him an appointment that day)they agreed with us that even if we had a bottomless pit of money to spend at the hospital, the probability of him ever getting better was pretty slim. So we had him put down. The vet was very caring, understanding. Okay, our cat died but through no fault of the vets and at all times they put the cats welfare top of the list. Their prices are reasonable and I didn't feel ripped off (unlike Woods!)
