About

Cornish Paws Veterinary Practice is an independent, family-run surgery in Penryn, Cornwall. It holds Cat Friendly Clinic accreditation and treats small animals, exotics, equines and farm animals. Clinical services include dentistry, orthopaedics, imaging, laboratory diagnostics, surgery and pet passports.

The practice is led by Matt, whose approach to animal handling was shaped by rehabilitating a nervous collie early in his career. Several of the household pets were animals brought in for euthanasia and instead rehomed by the practice team. Emergency care is available, and the practice maintains its independence from corporate veterinary groups.

Just started to use this vets...but from first contact through to having quite serious treatment for our dog, we have been impressed with their compassion, friendliness and professionalism. Took lots of time to talk to us about treatment and recovery.

Always had good experiences at Cornish Paws despite my dog being an infrequent visitor! Reasonably priced and always try and make it as affordable as they can. All vets, nurses, receptionists I’ve had contact with have been very helpful and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend.

We cannot praise Cornish Paws highly enough. Our pup Lily has been registered since we adopted her in March and we have always had positive experiences. She went in today for her spay and they handled the entire process so well. We received a call yesterday afternoon to remind us of all the essential things to remember pre-op, talked us through pricing very transparently and were clear on time frames for each step. We dropped her off at 8.30am and received a call from the vet about 2 hours later to let us know she was out and all had gone well. We then got a further call a little bit later to let us know the time we could go and collect her. When my partner went to collect her she'd been fed and watered and taken to go to the toilet and was a very happy (albeit a bit dozy!) girl. They gave him all the after-care information we need and booked her in for a follow up next week. We could not recommend Cornish Paws more! Thank you for taking such good care of our girl!
