About

Cornwall Animal Hospital is a charity-run veterinary practice in Penzance, providing clinical services to pet owners across Cornwall. It operates on a means-tested basis, ensuring animals can receive treatment when their owners are on benefits, state pension or low incomes. Laboratory diagnostics, physiotherapy and pet health plans are among the services offered.

Founded over 30 years ago and based in Treleigh near Redruth, the hospital relies on donations and client fees rather than corporate funding. It has plans for a two-storey rehabilitation centre covering over 400 square metres, intended to expand its range of recovery therapies.

My dog was told to leave the shop today, how can you support an animal charity that doesn’t allow dogs. He’s perfectly well behaved and is allowed into every other store in Penzance. Shame on them.

Rude staff. Went in with my dog a miniature schnauzer and was asked by staff is he a guide dog? Why not just say sorry this Animal charity shop does not allow dogs. Every other charity shop allows dogs and I understand if not allowed but put a big sign in the door perhaps

Management does not allow dogs in the shop even though it is an animal charity. Ridiculous. They also decorate their windows but do not allow you to buy anything in the window, which sort of defeats the purpose of a shop. Needs better management!
