Margaret Telfer
Recently, County Vets let us down badly when our lovely standard poodle was really struggling. An xray revealed an aggressive tumour just over a month ago, so it was clear her days were numbered. Pain relief provided some relief but, when it was obvious that it was time to have her put down, County Vets were unable to help us out. Each time we phoned, we were told they would call back later, but no call came, so we had to phone them. I understand that they may have been very busy, but no enquiries were made about how much pain Meg was in, or advice as to where else we could go. In desperation, we ended up phoning another vet, Minster Vets, who were very understanding, kind and helpful. They referred us to a specialist vet, Paws in Peace, so we were able to have our Meg put out of her suffering. County Vets did eventually phone several days after our first call offering help possibly 2 days later, but no guarantee. Needless to say, our other poodle is now registered with Minster Vets.
