Our dog was referred here by our veterinary practice at the end of April this year. Panda had 4 general anaesthetics in 2 weeks, Eastcotts spent our entire £10,000 insurance limit in that time, and diagnosed our dog with an autoimmune condition. We were prescribed immune suppressant steroids. Panda was severely unwell and taken to a new veterinary practice where he has been diagnosed with a rare fungus disease. He will not survive this due to the spread of the disease between seeing Eastcotts and being assessed at the new referral. Eastcotts is a dirty practice (faeces left on the reception floor), we waited roughly an hour to be seen and to collect Panda on each occasion, they missed lesions on the CT scan, they misdiagnosed our dog and they are quite clearly only interested in money. Once I refused to bring Panda back in they were suddenly able to prescribe medication over the phone? Etc etc. I also emailed for the CT report to be provided to me at the start of July, and I am yet to receive it. We have instructed a solicitor. There are plenty of good intentioned specialists out there, please don’t put yourselves in the same position as us.

I can’t thank the team at Eastcott Dental Vets enough. From the moment I reached out, their communication was clear, kind, and incredibly professional. They took the time to explain everything in detail — from the condition of my dogs teeth to the possible treatment options and long-term implications. What stood out most was the compassion and honesty they showed throughout the process. Even when discussing difficult news, they were sensitive, informative, and never rushed me. It was clear they genuinely care about both animals and their guardians. Thanks to their thorough assessment and guidance, I was able to make an informed decision about how to move forward with his care. The stress I’d been carrying around his health was massively reduced after speaking with them, and I left feeling so much more confident and reassured. Highly recommended for anyone seeking specialist dental care for their pet — the team here are truly outstanding.
