The vets and staff at Longmead are personable and knowledgeable. My cats have always received thorough examinations, without running up huge bills for unnecessary tests. My timid fiend with mass of teeth and claws allowed the vet to give her the dreaded mani/pedi and even gave him a head bump afterwards. What a surprise! Thank you Longmead for a pleasant visit for both of us.

One of the worst customer service Ive experience i have ever received from Jane ! The practice manager. We recently moved i to the area 3 months ago, and weve just found out that our frenchies pregnant. When Trying to register, it was explained that you cant belong to two vets and that doesn't meet thier criteria, since they are particularly busy and are carefully not to have to many patients just only use them for the one time. I suggested cancelling the other vets that is 1 hour and a half away and still continued to find an excuse that it wouldnt be accepted. Her whole outlook was very interesting and im completely confused by her and the service I have recieved. Whilst I can appreciate its a busy time of year, and that they only want to take on pets that this would be thier primary vets, she could of used more common sense. We have just recently moved here with buinsess that opporates 6 days a week, so it would of made sence to have canceled our old vets. Obviously its not the best thing to be driving all the way to southampton when the time comes.. I get that shes quite clearly trained to be very resilient, but she was loud, talked over me and very robotic in her responses. She showed no real care to me or our thoughts just that even if we canceled our old vets they wouldnt take her on, ( this was before any upset ). A very strange and confusing experience.

We were expecting major drama with our reactive rescue saluki as we had no idea how he was going to be with his vaccinations and check up. The reception team booked the appointment at a time when there were no other dogs booked in and Lyndsey was great with him when he came in. The vet was brilliant with him. Just really calm and understanding and it all went well. All in all a much better experience than we expected knowing how our dog can react. Fingers crossed he is as good when we go back in 4 weeks!!
