Always a great experience. All staff are so friendly, yet professional. Our dog is very nervous of humans but they always do their best to engage with her.

Avoid Medivet Horncastle at all costs. We brought our cocker spaniel in for a tail issue. After initial treatment failed, my husband was told a tail amputation was necessary and quoted £800. He signed the consent forms based on that. Minutes later, staff casually informed him the price had jumped to £1800 — a 125% increase with no warning, no explanation, and no accountability. This bait-and-switch approach is not just unethical it’s emotionally manipulative and financially reckless. We were left shocked, distressed, and scrambling for answers while our dog was in pain. If you value transparency, professionalism, or basic decency, do not trust Medivet Horncastle with your pet’s care. We’re raising a formal complaint and expect this to be escalated. But in the meantime, consider this a warning: they will quote one price, then demand another. Safe to say our dog will be getting treatment elsewhere with the op scheduled for tomorrow, and none of us, our family, or animals will ever return to Medivet.

I cannot fault this practice. From the minute you walk in both us and our animals are greeted with smiles. Always a treat or two for the furry ones too. As for the vets they are so kind and compassionate and I couldn’t wish for anyone better to look after our four legged friends. Keep up the great work!
