My blind rescue pug came to me with a very sad background and a very challenging personality and medical conditions. I registered with Miramar and from day one Jane and Vanessa very excellent helping and treating this challenging little soul. Ongoing support and advice was provided along with an operation to try and help improve his quality of life. The ladies on reception could never do enough to help and were so friendly.
Sadly and unexpectedly after only two months, my pug had a stroke, he was seen immediately by Jane and the saddest decision had to be made to be kind to him and stop his suffering. The reason for my review is that whilst I was in shock and heartbroken at the decision I had to make, Jane, Vanessa and a lovely nurse made his passing the warmest, most loving, calm and reassuring experience that I could have hoped for both for him and for me. There was no rush, we were taken to a 'rainbow room' and both he and I were surrounded by love as he left peacefully.
Nothing can stop the heartache right now and we all hope we will never be in this situation but Jane, Vanessa and Miramar - you were outstanding and anyone who is facing this be reassured that you will be in the best and most caring hands. Thank you.
