  Iv been with penrose for many years looking after my staffy ..they was very good but when out last staff past away they was excellent...but after in new year I have a new puppy I called the Colchester branch and the lady was very rude to me ...to the point I then Decided after years with them I'd go somewhere else. I was asking questions on costs ect and I was told (well how do I know) I thought well you work there.....and she was rather rude And past 2 years I think they don't do AHC which they used to do. I'm told by other people they are taken over by a company now which is rather sad

  Things have changed hugely since I last took my pets. Staff moral is low. The vets are not thorough ​like they used to be. Prices have doubled. They now charge for routine things that they never used to and don't warn you about the added charges. The vets are normally caring and helpful but this time they were unwilling to discuss anything. Looking to change to somewhere else ASAP.

  We have our favourite vet, Chris G, but everyone at the practice is lovely. Over the last few years we had to go an awful lot and the staff made every visit as painless as possible. Great practice. Would recommend to everyone.
