Poor experience - we were on a road trip from Ireland to Isle of Skye, before going back my dog needed a tapewarm treatment due to the Irish legal requirement for entry. I called the practice a week before to get an appointment and explained that we need this for re-entry to Ireland. They told me that we don’t need an appointment for the warm treatment and we can just show up. So we did. It was all fine at first, we registered with the practice, gave the warm tablets to my dog with the lovely assistant. All was well until it was time for the main veterinarian (Rhona) to sign my dog’s passport. I overheard her giving out to her assistant, then her assistant asked us to wait for a while - she didn’t know how long. We waited 25-30 more minutes then we were asked to come back tomorrow and were given an appointment. They held on to my dog’s passport.. Good thing we weren’t in a hurry! Next morning we showed up, they took my dog in while I was waiting in the lobby which really stressed out my puppy and she was crying the whole time. I don’t know what they did in there since she got her tablets the day before. After about 30 minutes and two wrong passport entries later, she came out and apologised for the mishap yesterday and told me I should have gotten an appointment. If the first day they told me I needed an appointment, instead of going through the whole we would have said yes of course. The whole thing was managed so poorly, I don’t think she was sincere at all. She should be thankful for her lovely staff who did their absolute best to manage this bad experience.
