About

Pride Veterinary Centre is the Scarsdale group's main hospital site, located in the Pride Park area of Derby. It serves as both a first-opinion practice and a referral centre, sitting at the heart of a network that has operated across Derbyshire since the 1940s.

The centre houses advanced facilities including hydrotherapy and physiotherapy services, and acts as the referral destination for complex cases from across the group's eleven companion animal branches. It holds Cat Friendly Clinic accreditation and provides both routine and hospital-level veterinary care.

We took our cat, named Cat in with a suspected urinary blockage, which can be fatal. The front desk staff were lovely, they helped us with our finance and insurance and went above and beyond to help us, the vet care when booking in was stellar as they were very clear and communicative about issues. When we got the call to come pick him up a few hours later, the level of detail given to us on the phone about his care and furthermore the level of tests and care given for the price is amazing. They went above and beyond to explain so much to us about what testing they’d done and what had been done!! Then on collecting him, they were quick to see us and gave us such detailed information (we have had a blocked cat before so have a lot of experience with it) even things we didn’t know like that certain types of urinary food treat different types of crystals- like I said, above and beyond. They gave us a calming cat going home kit, detailed information on UTIs and blockages, and went over it verbally. They even will do a follow up appointment in a week with Cat. My cat was chirpy and cuddly with the vet letting her scratch his chin when we arrived despite being very scared and hiding under clothes in his carrier when we dropped him off. I wish we knew people’s names for the review, but both vets we spoke to, the veterinary nurse staff, and the front desk staff were all lovely, clear, and helpful. Just above and beyond service, really impressed as a multi-cat owner of years!!

I get refered here by my vet. It has huge facilities & equipment. Large spacious area to queue & wait. Lots of parking space & 24 hour emergency facility. The receptionists were very friendly...great drinks machine! The consultation & treatment was excellent...as was their communication with me. You need to make sure that your insurance will cover your pets condition as the cost of this service doesn't come cheap. You will be required to pay an amount upfront for treatment, and consultation.

Took my Mabel in for her yearly health check and injections. Had an absolutely fantastic appointment thanks to Debria Smith. She gave a fantastic experience reassuring me of any concerns that I had and best of all giving my Mabel a clean health check. Debria was caring, compassionate, friendly and professional. I left feeling reassured and that my Mabel is health and well. If anything ever happened to Mabel I would want her to be treated by Debria. I would highly recommend going to Pride vets and also have the plan that they have. I pay each month and it covers the cost of Mabel's treatment for fleaing and worming and health checks well worth it for peace of mind. Again massive thank you to Debria Smith from me and Mabel
