About

The Peel Veterinary Clinic in Hornsea is a mixed practice established in 1948, treating small animals, exotics, and equines from two sites in East Yorkshire. Services include dentistry, orthopaedics, in-house laboratory diagnostics, imaging, and surgical procedures, with same-day results offered where possible.

The practice also provides complementary therapies including acupuncture and homeopathy. A pet healthcare plan is available for preventative treatments. Out-of-hours emergency cover is handled by Vets Now, keeping daytime and after-hours care separated between the practice and its external provider.

My poor baby cockapoo has an ear infection (both ears) nice to have a paid consultation with a vet that lasted 40mins (rather than 2 mins), with some great advice (prevention technques) and anti-biotics which I dont have to apply daily myself from a team of professionals getting involved. Thank you!!

We had to put our dear dog Chunky to sleep this week after a traumatic but brief period of her suddenly becoming seriously unwell. This is my first experience of having my dog put to sleep as my other dog died naturally at home. What can I say but a massive ‘Thank you’ to all of the team who were so kind and compassionate from start to finish…not only the vet but also her assistant (I’m sorry, I don’t know her official title but she had dark hair) who gave Chunky primula cheese as a treat and Chunky lapped it up…wished I’d known she loved this so much earlier! 😊 This vets is fantastic, the price is broken down for you and explained before they go ahead but most importantly they really care. 😘❤️

Building Works where been done inside the Hornsea vets so all appointments were been temporarily entrance around the back in an outbuilding The surgery was in the same room where as their animal holding cages and even though the vets tried to put a temporary screen up in that same room , it was still distressing for me to try and comfort my cat whilst putting him to sleep with a loud barking dog just few meters away. I knew my cat would have hated that and unfortunately that was my last memory I had with my cat so not a nice ending . I understand possible nothing could be done but in hindsight I should have asked if the vet could have found somewhere quiet in the surgery where they could have put my cat down . If I thought his ending would have been like this I would not have put him down there and travelled to another vet in hull .
