I have the pleasure of being a client at Coach House Vets (Burlyns) – twice! After sadly having to leave them 15 years ago due to a house move, I am now happily back with them since September last year. In the intervening 14 years I am over the moon that the atmosphere of this independent practice has not changed. The friendliness and approachability of every member of staff is second to none – truly. The working atmosphere is much like a team of good friends, of which you become a member the moment you walk in. Consultations are relaxed yet highly professional; I appreciate the way in which I, the guardian of our beloved dog(s), am involved in their care plan and feel guided by the knowledge and experience of the veterinary team. I had the heartbreaking experience of having to put Treacle, my flat-coat retriever, to sleep suddenly and unexpectedly a few months ago. My husband, Treacle and I were treated with the utmost sensitivity and care in the most distressing of situations. Our wishes were accommodated without question, we were given as much time as we needed to be with Treacle and our final farewell was treated with dignity yet without sentimentalism. In short, they knew how to best treat Treacle (medically) and her guardians (emotionally). We are expecting a canine addition to our family in the Spring and I am so pleased that my next charge will be under the medical care of this warm, friendly and professional team.
