If you want your pet alive, avoid!!! Vets 4 Pets Heanor. Had yearly health check and vaccination on Saturday where my dog’s breathing was thoroughly checked and no issue found. On Thursday had to take my dog there with constant panting. It was obvious she struggled to breath. We were advised of possible diabetes and referred for a blood test, given painkillers then sent home. The painkillers made no difference at all. Later on, got a call asking if the dog is spayed (the answer should have been clear for the vet if did a proper check on her initially). Told them she was not. They advised that I might take her back to be checked for possible pyometra due to this or wait for blood test results. Since she did not have any symptoms of this illness and was showing different ones we decided to wait for the blood test results. After thorough online search we found that such heavy panting is not among the symptoms of diabetes either. After posting a video about her online other pet owners recommended to get her back to the vet for checking possible fluid in lungs due to heart failure because this is a common symptom. She did not make it for further checks. My beloved pet died in my arms!!!! Questionable how much they know about animal health if they did not notice any issue with her lungs during the annual health check and misdiagnosed it less than a week later while her symptoms were obvious even for many non-professional people. Now I feel that I bought my pet’s death for almost £400 which was the cost of her unprofessional check up, useless painkiller and just as useless bloodtest. Then on the day of her death they called me to ask about her status within that 1-hour timeframe of which I specifically told them not to call me. These people should be out of practice due to their negligence and I’m considering reporting them for what they’ve done so they cannot make other pets and owners suffer.
