One dog had blood work and we were told she’s probably diabetic bring her back Monday (this was a Friday) and if she got worse we were to take her to the ER Vets. Well within 48 hours she was dead. We did end up taking her to the ER and her blood work at that time said her pcv (packed cell volume) was extremely low and she would need a transfusion, but would probably die by the time the blood arrived Next dog had a blockage in her abdomen. Unfortunately it took several visits to figure this out. We were being sent home with medicine (dog was vomiting off and on and had diarrhoea on and off). After surgery we were so hopeful as dog seemed to want to get better. Unfortunately at this point we were given antibiotics as a preventative measure which is apparently not done anymore as it can cause stomach upset. She was still vomiting most likely due to the antibiotic and so sadly we made the decision to euthanise her as she had suffered enough. Now onto dog 3. 10 week old chihuahua puppy that had suffered and injury to her front leg. First visit she was given pain meds and this is what they are considering treatment as she had no swelling, full range of motion and did not seem to be in much pain. Next visit she had X-rays. We were told there was nothing wrong with the leg. The bend in her leg was visibly worse so I chased them up sent them photos and a video and was asked if I wanted a referral to an orthopaedic specialist. The specialist looked at the same X-rays and all he did was enlarged them and we could see the damage straight away. She’s now looking at many more X-rays, possible surgery, and external splints and vets for pets states they did the right thing. They NEVER admit to any mistakes and the animals suffer.

It's been a while since we've needed to come to the Vets, but had to get an appointment today for our cat. We saw Vet Eva, and she was absolutely lovely! Super friendly, reassuring, and so nice to our cat! Highly recommend!

What ever you do please AVOID this practice. I unfortunately had to have my dear cat put to sleep two weeks ago. She was put to sleep by the most disgusting cold vet I have ever met, I believe his name in Antonio. The remarks he made have left me with trauma these remarks include me saying “she was so well 2 days ago” the vet remarked while putting my cat to sleep “well she isn’t ok now”. He showed me twice (without being asked) how my cat will look while dying and went on to do an impression of a dying cat. During the appointment I asked him why he was so cold he said “because I’ve watched my uncle dies” he then began to insinuate that it was our fault our cat was getting put to sleep. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had. He kept referring to her as “the animal”. When I spoke to clinical lead she said “the other members of the team said he dealt with the situation fine, the issue is there was no one there but me, my partner and the vet! There was so much more that I honestly wish I’d filmed it. We have now left the practice which is a shame as we loved the receptionist, the female vet and the black nurse. Honestly that vet needs to go he is sadistic and cold he needs some kind of break from work on his people skills and perhaps get some counselling for himself. Absolutely awful practice! Go to madley vets for pets they are wonderful.
