Really Good Vet and the staff are friendly. I've been using this Vet for 14 years now. First with my pug and now with my French Bulldog. They are absolutely great and very helpful.

Avoid — expensive treatment with no result and no accountability I took my dog to this practice because he was in clear pain from an ear problem. As he wouldn’t allow his ears to be examined properly while awake, we followed the vet’s recommendation to have him treated under anaesthetic. The total cost was just under £800. We were told the infection should start to clear within 28 days. It has now been weeks and there has been no improvement at all. His ears are still dirty, blocked, and look exactly the same as they did before the procedure. The treatment appears to have had no effect and my dog is in visible pain. When I contacted the practice to explain this and ask for a follow-up, I was told they would only see him again if I booked and paid for another full appointment - there was no offer to review the failed treatment, no discount, and no responsibility taken. Had this been months later or had there been some improvement, I would have accepted that medicine is not guaranteed. But when a treatment produces no visible result at all, I think it is reasonable to expect it to be reviewed. I also found the practice manager (Liz) extremely unhelpful — the focus was on booking another paid appointment rather than on why the original treatment had failed or on my dog’s welfare. Overall this felt like a commercial operation focused more on fees than outcomes. I would not return and would advise others to consider alternative practices that actually care about your pets.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! My cat passed away here. She had heart disease and had to be brought in for a medication review - there were several dogs barking loudly which made her hyperventilate, tongue out, scratching to get out the carrier. I was standing at the front of the line waiting for one of THREE receptionists to listen to me when asking for my cat to be seen ASAP as it was past her appointment time. I understand they were running late - fair enough, it was a busy day, but for all 3 receptionists to be having their own pathetic conversation while my cat with heart disease was panting from stress. We had her in the appointment room for 15 seconds before the kind nurse took her away and ran to give oxygen as her tongue was blue. She collapsed and passed away. Worst day of my life, I hope I never see those receptionists again, they should understand that animals are there because they are most likely SICK and need extra care. Even after telling the lady that my cat with HCM was panting and stressed, she took her time and walked away slowly, after glancing at my cat to see if I was telling the truth. It was almost offensive how she acted. Please don’t bring your CATS here as they’re sensitive and don’t do well in environments where there is no separation between dogs - who are almost always fine and favoured by staff.
