Spring to Summer
Thought I would give it a while after moving practices to see if moving was a good thing, it was. We were with Western Counties for some time. During that time we had several visits to our horse and found that the experience wasn’t brilliant. Months of trying to sort out an issue resulted in no clear plan forward, just rest, bute and eventually a trip to the hospital. After a few assessments at the practice which I found a bit bizarre as there was one person clearly in charge and several poor souls running in their shadow doing the grunt work… we came away a few hundred pounds lighter with no answers. The reception staff and stable staff at the hospital were brilliant. Zone visits to us- I was told that if other liveries booked on the same visit the call out charge would be shared, that never happened. I really felt that money and getting you to have more tests to get in money was the primary objective. Such as not rasping teeth whilst out to do vaccinations as asked for on booking , therefore requiring another visit out.
