About

Windmill Veterinary Centre in Winslow is a branch surgery serving the Buckingham area as part of the Vets Now network. It holds Cat Friendly Clinic status and provides dental care, orthopaedics, acupuncture, laser therapy, physiotherapy, and laboratory diagnostics for small animals, exotics, and farm species.

As a branch of the wider Windmill practice, it extends access to the same clinical services in a second location. Nurse-led clinics and a pet health plan are also available. The inclusion of complementary therapies such as acupuncture and laser treatment alongside conventional veterinary medicine gives clients additional treatment pathways.

I love Windmill! They truly care about animals and Everytime I've needed them, they are very accommodating and make sure they give me an appointment when I need it. The vets are thorough and caring and the prices are reasonable too.

I have to be honest, especially within the career in which I work. Windmill Veterinary Centre failed to meet my expectations that I would expect from a Veterinary Surgery. The care which my dog received in 2025 was unacceptable. During this period of time my dog was extremely unwell requiring visits 2-4 times per week and endless amounts of phone calls and emails. My dog was losing weight rapidly and refusing to eat. Despite numerous appointments and tests conducted by various veterinarians and thousands of pounds spent, I never received a diagnosis. I ultimately had to conduct my own research to suggest potential issues and medications which is rather embarrassing. Following a referral to a specialist they completely contradicted the theories provided by Windmill Veterinary Centre. It is concerning that multiple veterinarians were unable to identify the issue. A room for concern! I believe that in this instance Windmill Veterinary Centre failed to meet the professional standards expected.

I have been attending the Windmill vets for just over two years now. On the occasions that I have had to use them, they have been amazing with my dog Belle. I have come from a Bicester vets that said she would need sedating on each visit. Not once has Belle had to be sedated at the Windmill vets . Just patients and understanding was given.
