I wanted to get a second opinion for my cat's eye condition. On the first appointment the vet couldnt get the cat out of the crate (was never a problem with previous vet) and said the cat would need to be sedated to take a sample (no surgery) and it would cost between £330 and £380. Took her to the 2nd appointment to take the sample in the London road clinic and was told my cat would need to stay there all day; I would understand that of it was a surgery BUT not a sample but I guess they need to justify charging this kind of money. No one explained to me in the first appointment that it takes a day for them to take sample; also worth noting that previous vet had no problem taking bloods or eye discharge samples.
