ABSOLUTELY AWFUL VETINERARY PRACTICE. My cat had a biopsy. I received the results and was told he had an allergy to grasses but I would need to pay another £400 + to discover what he was specifically allergic to and then a further £2000 for a vaccine. I declined. I was staying in the area temporarily (with my cat) as my mother was dying and I would prefer to deal with it when we got home. I was then hounded for a payment for £429.30 for the tests I didn't want. The vet called me and told me I had agreed!!! I put my claim through to Petplan for his biopsy and the vet sent back a claim for the " tests" but omitted to send anything regarding Berties biopsy. Petplan paid the bill but sent it to me not to them as they requested. After a long battle with an extremely rude practice manager and a vet, both of which called me liar, I managed to get them to send Berties biopsy details to Petplan and I was finally paid. I have paid £429.30 to the vets as it wasn't mine to keep as I never had the tests done. I would not reccomend this practice to anyone. They are rude, unhelpful and morally reprehensible. Just because we have insurance, it does not give a practice the right to charge insurers for anything they can think of.
