About

James Street Veterinary Centre is an independent mixed practice in Louth, treating small animals, equines, exotics, and farm livestock. Services include dental work, surgery, laboratory diagnostics, exotic animal consultations, nurse-led clinics, and emergency care alongside routine vaccinations.

The practice has been under its current directorship since 2010, led by a veterinary surgeon who qualified from the University of Glasgow in 2003. The independent status and mixed-species caseload, including exotic and farm animals, give it a broader clinical scope than many town-centre practices. Nurse clinics supplement the veterinary consultations as part of the regular service.

Went in as new clients with, for us, an emergency with one of our dogs. We were immediately put at ease, our dog was thoroughly checked out, given what was required and we feel much happier now. First class service!

Best vets in LIncolnshire - been with them for nearly 50 every time we have lived locally we come back with all our dogs (durung working years often posted in other parts of the country). Superb reception, nursing and vetinary teams during all that time.

My dog is registered here and yesterday I unfortunately had to take my parrot in as he clearly wasn’t well. We managed to get an appointment with one of the avian vets and he was outstanding. My parrot was slightly sedated and had an X-ray and bloods taken within twenty minutes of us being there. The vet’s expertise and knowledge was just superb. I didn’t get the gentleman’s name but he was one of the best vets I have ever seen. Kind, compassionate and clearly concerned about my African Grey. We are currently waiting for the results but after a cocktail of antibiotics my parrot already seems a lot better already. Fingers crossed for a good outcome. I just wanted to post to let everyone know how wonderful James Street Vets are. We are new to the area and are very, very pleased. Thank you!☺️
