About

Park Veterinary Group's Pontypridd branch is part of a long-established Cardiff-based practice within the VetPartners network. It holds RCVS accreditation and Cat Friendly Clinic status, treating small animals, exotics, equines and farm animals. Services include orthopaedic surgery, emergency care and a pet health plan.

The wider Park Vets group dates back to 1896, originally founded to treat working horses at the Cardiff docks. The practice adopted its current name in 1985 and grew through branch acquisitions in Penarth and Pontypridd. Current services span routine pet care through to advanced procedures such as TPLO surgery and acupuncture.

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!! I visited here with my pooch and was met with an unsympathetic vet with no empathy for my fur baby or myself. They charge an extortionate amount of money for services, which you can get ( from other parts of the valley( Tonypandy) at a fraction of the price. Park vets policy is " your pain, our gain for profit!!". They are literally taking advantage of people who have sick animals and It is places like this that put people off of going to the vet and treating their animals because of the high fees. If you need a fantastic vet, you will find one in Tonypandy! I was quoted £1200 for blood tests and a scan for my fur bubba at this place. I got the same thing at Tonypandy for £230, huge price difference! Do yourself a huge favour and do not bother with this place. The other thing is, they don't have a lot of facilities or medicine on site, so they tell you to go to their Cardiff branch to collect medication and get treatment, so they are also expecting you to travel miles with your sick animal or leave your sick animal at home whilst you travel far and wide. As I said Do not bother with this place, you have been informed.
