On the day 8am queue for appointments. My mother is a disabled pensioner, so when her dog needs to see the vet I help. But now you cant make an early appointment in advance, but have to call at 8am, on the day!!! I asked what day did they have an early appointment to be told, a couple days later but then said for the 9.30 I wanted would also be call at 8am. People have busy lives so I cant clear a morning just hoping to get an appointment. Why on earth if you have a clear time slot cant you just book it as before. And to say use the Internet my mum is 82, she doesn't have the Internet. It's ridiculous and we'll have to move vets. I did call after posting this to confirm the transfer of my mothers dog to another vet. Had a very similar conversation about could have asked for another day. To which I said again, I had asked for a morning when I didnt need to call but wasn't given the choice. Loving the new vet, had same day appointment but do appreciate, time may tell. Have to add that the new vet said in Bonnie's notes, she probably had a water infection, high protein and crystals in her urine. We were disgusted to hear this as we were never told. Had paid for Bonnie to have the test! But never told she had an infection. It was the reason we went in. And the new vet was also shocked that your vet wanted to amputate bonnies tail when she had a cyst on it. Lucky for her it burst and with home care she was and is completely fine.

Kind, helpful, and professional practice. My daughter was devastated bringing in her poorly hamster last week. The vet took her time and gave my daughter three options of choice to discuss privately with her dad so she didn't feel pressured. My daughter bravely decided to put her little friend to sleep as getting better was not going to happen, and all staff looked after her when it happened. No matter what type of animal a pet is loved by someone and kindness goes a long way. Afterwards, they gave my daughter a sympathy card and wrapped her hamster in soft cloth before laying her out nicely in a box to take home for burial in our garden. They put a little of her fur into a keepsake bottle she can wear on a necklace chain as a gesture of goodwill. I've worked in customer service for years, easing people's pain, worry, and anxiety is something I've always taken very seriously, but I don't often see it around me. I can't thank you all enough. My daughter hasn't had a very good couple of months, and losing her pet was just awful for her. All staff have helped her cope, and it won't be forgotten. Thank you all.

Had to attend yesterday with our cat and the staff were all fantastic. From the practice manager, to the very friendly reception staff who were professional and kindly laughed at my poor jokes, to the treatment of our old man Shadow. Everything was explained thoroughly and options were given along with an explanation of benefits of the different types of screening available. This was our second visit to the Cliff Lane practice and I wish I could remember the name of the vet because we've seen her twice and she really is incredible! I cannot recommend this veterinary practice highly enough. Thank you all for the excellent service we have always received, and the very good care of our old man who is much happier today and resting per vets orders. Edit: I have seen the vet on your website, it is Alexandra! A truly fantastic who is surely in the perfect profession, she clearly has a genuine love for animals and is so good with even highly stressed animals. 5 stars for her. And an honourable mention for Heidi too!
