About

Willows Veterinary Centre in Boldon Colliery is an RCVS-accredited small animal practice in south Tyneside, part of the VetPartners group. Established in 2004, the practice also sees exotics, equines and farm animals, and offers dentistry, microchipping, palliative care, surgery and vaccination services.

The practice operates alongside a sister branch in South Shields and provides a 24/7 emergency service. A pet health plan is available for preventative care, and the Boldon surgery maintains a small-practice atmosphere despite being part of a larger veterinary group.

Hi all, I have just been into this vets practice, i didn't even know it was there, we found a very ill black kitten while we were at our allotment and were advised to take it to this vets as they are 'lovely' ,However, I will never ever take another animal to this practice. The receptionist was lovely and as soon as we explained the situation she went to get the vet, only to return a few seconds later saying were we willing to pay for the treatment, unfortunately we do not have the finances to do this, but a few seconds later a vet came out and ushered us into the room. She was a young lady and was extremely abrupt and very rude. I know this animal was a stray and very close to death, but I thought all vets have some kind of duty to care for all animals, I asked if it was a girl or boy, only to be shot down with that's not a priority, and to be honest it probably wasn't but there are ways to say this, we were then told thank you and then what I can only describe as dismissed. Maybe it would have been a very different experience if we said we would pay. I had to give it one star to allow me to post.
