About

Blythman and Partners Ltd is an independent small animal veterinary group headquartered in Newcastle upon Tyne. Established over 100 years ago, it remains family-owned under the Chambers family and operates without corporate affiliation.

The group runs eight practices across Tyne and Wear and provides its own 24-hour emergency service at its Gosforth Veterinary Hospital, staffed by its own vets. It is one of the few remaining independent multi-site practices in the North East, maintaining full clinical autonomy in its choice of treatments.

Absolutely disgusting company!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!! We were registered with Blythman vets for our whippet and whilst on holiday , she broke her leg , they refused to give her treatment at all ( including any painkillers ) until we were able to provide a payment method. Bearing in mind that we were half way across the world in another time zone and our dog was brought to their practice by a home boarder. When we couldn’t immediately give them a payment method to use , we asked if they could start some treatment anyways so she would be in less pain , the vet refused and when weg asked if she was ok , the vet replied with ‘she could be more comfortable!’. This establishment is more concerned about their pockets than the welfare of an animal and should be ashamed of themselves!! DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR PETS!!

A small section of their practice, but can cover for any eventuality with a very friendly set-up, not the least being Ann, the receptionist, who is very caring both for the animal and owner especially if they are worried about their pet.
