About

Onley Equine Vets is an RCVS-accredited equine practice based near Rugby, forming part of the Towcester Veterinary Group. The clinic provides equine veterinary services including vaccinations and routine care, and sits alongside the group's separate small animal and farm divisions.

Operating from a dedicated equine site at Onley, the practice benefits from being part of a wider multi-species group while maintaining a focused equine caseload. The RCVS accreditation indicates the premises and clinical standards have been independently assessed and approved.

Lauren and Victoria on reception at Onley Vets are so lovely and welcoming. More importantly understanding, and always help where they can. It makes the process so much more reassuring when your feeling vulnerable with a poorly pony. Thank you team x

Fantastic grounds & facilities. Always a favourite venue. Got to go in the farm shop ๐Ÿ˜ ( while waiting nearly an hour for dressage sheets ๐Ÿ˜ฌ only 8 in the class ๐Ÿคฆ) ... but the shop had some lovely goodies & presented beautifully. Delicious ๐ŸŽ‚๐Ÿช๐Ÿฅ•๐Ÿฅ”๐ŸŠ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

I've had a really good experience with Towcester/Onley veterinary practice. I have two horses who have had two separate vets from the practice. Mike is absolutely fantastic and after 2/2.5 years of not finding my horses issue with previous practices, Mike managed to give me an answer! I've had so many sleepless nights over my horses poor performance and inability to canter, that I was beginning to think it was all in my head! He explains x-rays thoroughly, and doesn't do unnecessary things. He looks at the finer detail and really takes his time. I never feel rushed and I can discuss all of my concerns in detail. He's also a kind man, who's full of humour which really helps lift the mood when you feel sad that your horse is unwell. My second horse is new to me, and had several bouts of colic/Nephron Splenic Entrapment for which we had Gemma out, she was incredibly professional throughout the emergency call out. It was dark, I had no lights, it was freezing and it was chucking it down! But she didn't waiver and frankly saved his life. She kept following up with me for weeks after, to check he was ok and to offer further advice. I trust both of these veterinarians completely, and they would always be my first choice. I would also like to say that Kelly is an exceptional nurse/handler/rider all wrapped into one. My Welsh can be a bit head strong, but whilst firm where needed to keep people safe, she is kind, patient and incredibly compassionate. She cares about the people and the horses in her care, she's very black and white. Tells you how it is and I personally really appreciate her transparency. The reception team is also ace, during my horses lameness examination, they kept checking my mum was ok, offering teas/coffees and biscuits. My mum's type 1 diabetic, and was catered for throughout the whole day. They always have a smile and are warm and welcoming. Alison who handles accounts is also fantastic, super efficient and sorts out insurance claims. Everything has ran so smoothly which helps to minimise stress too! Feel she is an unsung hero, so definitely needs a mention!
